Laurus Nobilis Liqueur
A liqueur that holds centuries of Venetian tradition, made through the gentle infusion of bay leaf berries – the very same method used by the physician Michele Savonarola back in the 15th century in Padua to prepare his famous rosoli.
The bay laurel is more than just an aromatic plant: in Venetian culture it has always been a symbol of wisdom and nobility. It's no coincidence that Petrarch, in his Canzoniere, describes his beloved Laura as a "young woman beneath a green laurel" – a connection between poetry, nature and the land that this liqueur still carries in every glass today.
The berries used come from Arquà Petrarca, the hilltop village where the poet spent the final years of his life, and are crafted according to an artisan recipe handed down over time. The result is a liqueur with a bold character and a pleasant bitter finish, making it an excellent digestif, valued since ancient times also for its antiseptic properties.
How to enjoy it: ideally served chilled at the end of a meal, but also excellent at room temperature for those who prefer a rounder, more enveloping sip.
